Lactose-free milk and dairy products
One in seven people in Germany cannot tolerate milk sugar (lactose) as their bodies either do not produce the enzyme lactase or only produce it in very small amounts so that they cannot split milk sugar into its components, glucose and galactose, during the digestive process. This leads to digestive problems such as bloating, diarrhea, flatulence and a rumbling stomach, it can also induce migraines.
After intensive research and development we succeeded in reducing the original lactose content of cow´s milk from around 4.8 g/100 g to below 0.1 g/100 g.
We are now able to manufacture lactose-free milk and dairy products which agree also with people with a pronounced lactose intolerance.
